Your Lighting System 

You'll need to choose between either HPS (high pressure sodium) or LED (light-emitting diode) lighting. When making this choice, there are a few things to consider.

• HPS has been the go-to grow light choice for years. It's cheap, powerful and easy to use. However, it creates a lot of heat, which can become very challenging in the summer months when outside temperatures can excees 30°c and may require you to add fans to your tent or room to moderate the temperature for your plants. These lighting systems are incredibly user-friendly, with dimmable controls and in-built safety features to guard against overloading and short circuits.
  
  
• LED lighting has transformed in the last few years, with more choice available now than ever before. We believe LEDs will become the go-to lighting choice for all indoor growers in the near future; with prices coming down and output going up, it really is a great time to make the switch to LED lighting. For LEDs, we've partnered with Maxibright Daylight, and whether your kit includes the 300W Daylight LED, or the 480W Daylight LED, they all come with 3-year warranty and are all IP68 (waterproof). Take a moment to read through the tech data for the 300W LED and the 480W LED to decide which is most appropriate for your budget.
