Xtreme Gardening Mykos

Mykos from Xtreme Gardening is mycorrhizal based product designed to be used during transplanting.

Mycorrhizal fungi are a fungus that have long been known to form symbiotic relationships with plants.

The mycorrhizae facilitate the movement of insoluble elements towards the plants roots in exchange for sugars from the plants. This mutually beneficial relationship allows greater availability of these immobile elements which can dramatically improve plant health and vigour. When potting your plants on you can sprinkle a small amount of Mykos into the planting hole before placing the plant into it.

By doing this you are ensuring that the mycorrhizae come into direct contact with the existing roots on your plant. When roots come into contact with mycorrhizae they become inoculated with the mycorrhizae and as long as the surrounding conditions do not become unfavourable the mycorrhizea will remain within and around the roots for the rest of the plant’s life.

For best results with Mykos, use dechlorinated water and never use hydrogen peroxide.
